    Z18 opinions

I’m thinking about getting a z18 with a 175 four stroke next spring, I’m looking for opinions from z18 owners, the quality of the boat, the ride and handling and what kind of speed are you getting with a 175 four stroke engine. Thanks

Mine has been very good. Handles rough water fine, runs plenty fast enough and great to fish from

My 2018 Z18 150 four stroke operates and runs nicely. Fast to come on plane and smooth ride.
Only a few issues: 1) livewell has unintended lake water ingress 2) the original trailer wheels vibrated terribly. As a result, we found the wheel centers to be poorly welded (aka Made in China) The dealer replaced the tires/wheels and 3) the hard plastic duct between the hull and engine has scored the gel coat. I applied Gator Skinz to the transom area to prevent further damage. (The Gator Skinz appears crooked because of photo angle.)

The rigging tube issue rubbing on the gel coat, I would highly recommend everyone protect against that. I bought a sheet of clear vinyl a couple of boats ago, And have never had an issue again.

I have a 2019- Z 18 Mercury 150 hp Four-stroke. The boat is incredible. Love it. Comfortable ride and fish, a ton of room. Runs like a top w/out jack plate. I have same issue with my wiring harness scratching my gelcoat into fibreglass. Brought back to tracker dealer and they are fixing and costs are covered by factory warranty due to defect/craftsmanship.
