Here is something Texas is known for, but there here.

We have gradually had an increase in numbers of Hummingbirds over the past 4 years. We are not in the migration period as of yet but we have a heard / flock / a bunch of birdies. We are going through almost 2 gallons a day now. Some will say that it is a lot of work, we feel like it is well worth it. When they are all gone for the year we feel like something is missing. We estimate 150 to 200 birds in the yard these days.

Man, that's like a swarm ... I've heard the number of feeders is the key to hosting a lot of birds. I've got a picture somewhere of me putting a feeder back out after refilling at my parents summer home in the mountains east of Santa Fe, NM. Humming birds are swarming around my head.

Man, I barely get 3 a day! But I do live in a major city area.
