Skeeter tunes dulling.
Ok I have a 2006 Skeeter ZX225, the tunes on the inside are fading and ruff to the touch. I have used rubbing compounds and polished them out and used good wax. After about a half a year they come back, not wanting to polish to far into the jell-coat, what can I use to stop this problem. Any help would be great.
It’s not gonna stop until you cut “all” the oxidation off....that’s why it keeps coming back.

I have some areas on mine that keep coming back also (still very smooth, but show up at different angles of the sun as a haze in the clear gelcoat). I use Protec and it helps but anything else I can do? ThanksOriginally Posted by crank68
More then likely have to sand it off....of course without seeing the boat or at a minimum pics can’t say for sure. In “most” cases oxidation doesn’t completely disappear with just buffing...

Thanks, I will try to wet sand and then buff out. Put a good three coats of wax and see if it comes back in time.
You need to get the sanding right first go round....you only have so much gel...
