Hi guys! I just recently acquired a 1987 dv175. I absolutely love the boat. But it's lacking severely in the performance department. Im running a 2.0 150. 6 inch hi jacker. Im searching for a good prop. I bought it with a 23 quicksilver that's pretty worn. It runs about 48 GPS with a decent load and a passenger. About 5500 rpm. I've tried a 24 trophy plus. Runs 52 GPS at about 5300. A 25 tempest runs about the same. I know it's over propped. Im thinking i should prop it to spin about 6k. Anyone have any suggestions on what to look for? Im thinking a 22 or 23 tempest. Or 21 or 22 trophy. Im a big guy and usually carry heavy loads. What kind of speed would you think I can achieve? I was thinking it should do 55 loaded when i get it setup right. Motor is healthy. Good even compression. Tdc indexed and running 24* wot timing. Idle stabilizer removed. 17psi water pressure at wot. I think about 3.25 below pad if I remember correctly. Thanks in advance guys any info or opinions are appreciated. Im new to hydra sports. Coming from a blazer 190 and a 184 champion.
