I have a bike race at the Trek Bicycle Factory in Waterloo on Sept 20-22. Would like to pull the boat up and find a lake To rent a cabin and stay for that prior weekend and week up until Friday.
Anything close to that area that is good? If not, where would you recommend within 3-4 hours of Madison?
You could just fish the Madison chain, or are you looking for somewhere less busy?

Fish Mendota, Monona for a few days then maybe hit the Wisconsin River near the Dells for a day. You'll have fun!
