    Question Remote Meat Thermometer

What do you guys use or recommend for a remote meat thermometer? I am looking for a good quality probe that I can leave in the meat when I'm grilling and be able to walk away from it (maybe go in the house) and still keep an eye on the internal temperature of the meat. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I had the I Grill and I Grill2 and now using the Meater. The Meater has no cables and uses Blu tooth and wifi and is my choice.

    Axkiker,

The repeater has to be within about 12 feet of the probe and then my phone will work anywhere in my house. If I leave the house I link it to a tablet and the with wifi I can go anywhere and still check meat and smoker temps with my phone.

I use this one from Walmart and works great. Scared the hell out of me the first time I did a Pork Butt roast and had the meter by my bed when the internal temp reached 200 the alarm went off so works like a champ and the smoker is outside on the back patio. The best $19 I have spent in a long time.

I've been using this ThermoPro for over a year now. Works pretty good for the price. Mainly use it with the smoker, but have grilled with it also.

I like the Maverick products. Had an older version for about 5 years and no issues. Here is a review of a Maverick along with several listed above in the platinum awards.

I've used the Thermo Pro 20 for over a year and a half and have been pleased with the results.
