    Li'l more progress....

Here I'm epoxying the non-skid. Add board and weight to make sure there's uniform pressure across the non-skid area. In one of the photos you can see the tail lights are in meaning the lighting work is done as well.

Then with all the boards and weights removed....

I was never fond of the spare tire security set up provided by AmeraTrail.... Kinna RedNek lookin' if ya' know what I mean. Sooo... back in '97, I think it was, I made these to install on my '96 209.

When I acquired my current '95 209 I made another set-up just like what I had for my '96. Installed they look like this.

The hi-vis yellow plasti-dip makes those loose parts a tad easier to find in road side grass n' such...

How sturdy is the boat on the jackstands? I kinda want to get mine up in the air to replace the bunk carpet and this looks like its relatively easy to do.

Actually it's fairly stable even though it looks like it's precariously balanced - which it is! I've bumped it. I got a ladder n' pulled the pedestal seats out of their mounts with up like it is. And it never felt shaky. But... you need to understand that the Gambler hull is flat, about 12" across where the front jack stands are. It is not rounded nor vee'd where those front stands are. Also... I would never attempt to climb in it while on those stands!

Finished up the tongue with reflective tape(works good in parking lots where you have to separate truck/trailer) and installed the new VIN plate/decal I got from AmeraTrail. I'll probably post one more pic later when I get the "GAMBLER" trailer decal my daughter is working up. That decal is gonna be pretty neat in that it will be gold foil like the original but instead of black shading I had her make it burgundy shading to match the boat. Not sure when she'll be able to get it done though....

Yes Sir.... it is. After 15 years remodeling homes/kitchens/baths n' such I have learned one thing. Leave something for them to find - anything. Once flaw is found they're happy and quit looking. Best line I get over and over and over again "DID YOU SEE THIS???" LOL.... "Yes'um I did it so yeah... I saw it - was hoping you wouldn't!"

The other is "There's a run in the paint!" Me: Let me see your invoice please." I pretend to look at it very carefully.... "Well.... there can't be a run in the paint because I didn't charge for it and I charge for everything I do!"

    Thanks for the compliment!
