The Most Basic of Electronics Questions
I have a Helix 7 Mega DI at the console and a cheap Lowrance Hook2 at the bow. So far I've been mainly using the Helix for lake maps to find points and drop offs etc, BUT here is the question... how do you take advantage of the Mega down imaging to actually find and catch fish??
Do you slowly drive through an area, watch the screen, mark structure on the map, then go back and fish it? You can't exactly cast to things you see on the DI... at least not easily. Maybe my set up is backwards... but I only had room in the budget for one Helix unit at the moment, and at the time I thought it made more sense at the console. So, how to do YOU use DI from the console to actually catch fish? Thanks in advance!

yup, thats what you do. and the same for SI.
