Question 30 degree jig hooks with lighter wire?

I've been adding a screwlock to the VMC 7216BN for T-rigging, but would like to find a lighter wire version. VMCpeche indicates that it's "regular wire", and that the 7329BN has the same in a wide gap. Any leads on something with finer wire? Thanks!

What size? The Mustad 32724 is a lighter wire but it only is available in 4/0 or 5/0. The VMC 7216 in 4/0 has a wire diameter of .057 and the Mustad 32724 4/0 is .045 so you can see it is lighter than the VMC.

Look into the VMC 7329 as well in the 2/0 size. This hook runs big compared to other hooks and a 2/0 is equivelant to most 4/0 hooks.

4/0 is the size I'm looking for. I'll look into both the mustad and the wide gap. thanks!

The VMC 7329 is almost identical to the Mustad 91768, the difference is small as the Mustad has a 28 degree bend versus a 30 degree bend in the VMC. Wire diameter is close, it is thinner than the 7216 you are using but it is heavier than Mustad 32724. Allen is spot on with the size assesment, the 7329 is a large hook and the 2/0 will probably work if you are using a 4/0 in the 7216. The Mustad 91768 is the same way, so remember if you go with the wide gap model get it in a smaller size.

Just wanted to revisit and mention that I've had a fantastic hookup and land ratio with the the 2/0 7329 since you gents steered me right. Thanks again!
