I'm using 2 50AH for my 24V troller. They last longer than any group 27 I've ran before.

I'm using 2 100ah battleborns on my 24v ultrex and have run 8-10 hour fishing days with no issues at all.

They would never make it in my boat. Everyone's style of fishing is very different...

From what I've seen I figure the three 50AH 36volt system would handle all but the most extreme 10 hour day. While a two 50AH 24 volt system may leave you short under the same conditions

I run two 50ah batteries with a 80# terrova 24 volt troller. I have killed them once. I was running on high trolling up and down canals on the St. Johns river looking for spawners. I started a safe light and killed them at 2:30 in the after noon. Other than never came close. I cant think of anything more extreme than that.

running 3 12v 100ah relions with the relion meter hooked up. I fished 3 15 hour days in a row on them and they were at 64% at the end of the 3rd day, each day they average 10-15% of use depending on how thick the grass was and wind. those 3 days were mainly calm and the grass was not extremely thick. A few weeks ago when I first got the gauge I was fishing similar flipping sparse grass, from 5am-3pm I was at 92%, from 3-9pm I was frogging in thick pads and milfoil with the motor on 100% a lot burning through the grass, by 9pm I was down to 67%. Before I had the battery gauge I did a full day of bed fishing from 6am to 9pm running mainly 50% speed on the motor and did not kill them. Normally with 100ah lead acids I would have been completely dead by 4pm in that same situation.

Amistad, Falcon or any other big open water lake when the wind gusts to 30 40 mph....Its all an 80lb terrova can do to hold your position. Been there several times before I got a 36 volt..

I’m running 3 battle born 100ah on a 36v Ultrex system. I can fish 2 full 10 hr days in grass never have killed them. I think it’s basically a cost issue? 50ah is good enough for most conditions/people but if the cost is doable 100ah is certainly better or if you’re an overkill kinda guy.....depends on the cost. Also after the supposed 2-3000 cycles you have 80% capacity left which equals an 80 ah battery so long term more cost effective. Certainly in the last few yrs more and more guys are running them, but not many if any have had them 10 yrs so no one really knows how they hold up. But I think once you make the switch it’s hard to go back.

If the wind is gusting 30-40 mph who the heck is out fishing? I know I am not and about 90% of the people I know would not be. A 39 mph wind is tropical storm force.

2 100ah battleborns with an 80lb fortrex. I've fished 13 hour days with no problem, trolling motor had the same power at the end of the day as it did at the start. Also fished a tournament this spring in 40-50mph SUSTAINED winds with gusts to 70mph day 1, day 2 was more tame but still had 30+mph sustained in the afternoon. Never ran my motor that high for that long before and never lost power.

I have a 1 AH lithium battery with a 900 lb megasupertrex and I took it out in an F5 water spout going against the current/wind for 85 hours and only went down to 99.5%.

Definitely not for the weak.. Just the way it is in West Texas from January thru March.
Up until a few years ago very few tournaments would get called off based on what the weather guessers would forecast. One Bass Champs on Amistad, over 200 boats went out in nice weather, wind hit about 11:00-- by 2:00 it was blowing 25-30 mph with gust to 50. On the flip side FLW cancelled the first day of the Costa tournament this spring on Amistad and the wind never got up..
When it comes to paying $200.00 to 1500.00 in entry fees.... You may as well go and take your chances just like the rest..
