    Water Gauge Not working

    UPDATE: 7/25/19
    - water hose to gauge was clipped off (not sure why)

    - opened cowl up, check for brass fitting for water pressure.

    - line was still indeed there, followed to the rig area and 100% it went to console.

    - checked over multiply times not to confused with Speedometer hose.

    - P.O. had it zipped tie and blocked off to some of the hundreds of electrical lines. As soon as I removed the blockage, water was dripping and verify it still works. Just had to extend the hose about a foot. Took boat out yesterday and everything worked fine, gets about 25-28 PSI at W.O.T.

Hello everyone. I just purchased a 98 Skeeter ZX195C with a 98 200HP OX66. My problem is that the previous owner or first owner cut the water hose at the water gauge. I’d like to know where is the barb fitting located on the motor. I’ve check diagrams but doesn’t say much. If anyone could show me where the barb/port is on the motor, I can finish the rest. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it's on the top of port-side head. Just follow the hose from where it comes out of the rigging tube.

    It's really easy to locate.

    > take cowling off top of motor
    > look at top of engine block
    > identify brass fitting with hose coming off of it
    > hose is water pressure hose.

It is recommended to hook the new hose onto your old hose before you start pulling the old hose out.

If you still can't find it I will take a photo tonight

Yep. If you need to replace to water pressure tube it will save you a lot of headache by hooking your new one to old one and then pulling old one out so it threads new one in.

Fishing things through your boat can be a real pain
