2018 Z21 Fuel Delivery Issue At Idle/No Wake

Anybody having an issue with loss of fuel to the motor while at idle or no wake headway speeds? When the weather is hot and tank expands, I lose fuel to the Merc. Engine actually runs out of fuel and shuts down. I replaced the primer buld, EPV/A valve and rerouted the fuel line as I read it may be getting squeezed under seats when the tank expands.
Fuel tank holds a lot of pressure (which i understand to be due to non venting tank design), need to vent the cap and prime bulb prior to take off to prevent stall issue.

Any in site as to how you fixed this issue would be great.

    TIA

That happened to me (I too thought it was vent and primer bulb related) and everything you did my dealer did. Turned out to be the pulse pump not moving as much fuel as it needed to and they also added cable ties to the hose ends to ensure no air was being pulled into the system.

Bison2312, did you find the primer to be empty when you had the motor quit?
strange to find the tank pressurized and fuel line empty.

I have the same issue on my '18 200 ProXS. Primer bulb is empty when mine dies after idling for a long time. But never does when running so I assumed it's not a fuel filter or fuel line issue (?).

Yes bulb was completely empty, here's a recent post on the Mercury forum.

Pulse pump or the tank expands (if you take your rear port compartment out and look above the tank you have the fuel line routed between the tank and seat mounting deck..) the line is getting pinched off when tank expands, rerouting of the fuel line has eliminated this

I haven't had any issue with mine. I wonder if they rerouted the lines after the 2016 model? I had similar issues with my 2006 911 CDC, turned out my fuel lines had started to corrode internally and were clogging the works.

I recently re routed the fuel line for exact reason. Fuel line is now between the tank and live wells. Plenty of room in this location.

boat is scheduled to go in for service Aug 5.
seems it may be a pulse pump seal issue. Hopefully they figure it out while I’m on vaca.

Just got the boat back from the shop.
Problem was due to worn/failed diaphragm in fuel pump. All covered by Merc warranty.
if you having this issue stop playing around with small repairs like I did and get to shop for pump rebuild.
