Rod length and action for A-Rig/Swimbaits
so looking for ideas on a rod length and action for A-Rigs and swimbaits. Seems to me that the same rod could be used for both. thinking a 7'6" Heavy or 8' Heavy
whats your opinions.
and with swimbaits im mainly talking the 6" at the largest soft swimbaits and maybe some hard glide baits in the 6"-7" area

I fish A-Rigs a lot around here in winter. I've used a 7'6" and a 7'3." I much prefer the 7'3". It is a LEW's Custom Speed Stik Hvy FB Jig rod. Got some tip. Much easier for me to throw. Distance not an issue. For me, most swim baits are under 4" so there isn't any cross-over there. Got a high capacity reel on it as well.

The Daiwa KAGE 79MHRB is an excellent umbrella rig-swim bait rod for baits in that range. The entire Kage line is really impressive...
