Installing sandwich bracket on skeeter- need help

I have a 1996 skeeter zx200c and recently got a good deal on a set of powerpoles that came with sandwich brackets. Id like to use the sandwich brackets since i already have them aand dont want to switch jackplates to get side mount ones.

The brackets have clearance and would work. My question is, will there be any issue with putting them between the motor and jackplate? Jackplate is either 10 or 12” , havent measured it yet.

You can put them between the motor and the jackplate however you putting the weight further back on the transom as well as setting the poles that much further back from the transom, we like to see them mounted between the transom and jackplate whenever possible. however either way "will work".

Could it possibly hurt the transom?
