    Just checking in

Real bad storms through here last night. 5 inches of rain in spots in a couple hours.

Bridges swept away, roads washed out, vehicles have been washed into the river, and more. Luckily no reported loss of life yet. Local officials have declared it a disaster area. Half the roads in the area were shut down. We kept our power, but phones, cell service, and cable have been out. Just finally got our cable back to allow some communication with the outside and figured I should let my friends know I’m alright.

More storms tonight and tomorrow. This is already the 5th? Time we’ve seen rain and flooding like this this year, but it’s by far the worst so far.

Spent a month out there a few summers ago. The steep mountainous terrain does not handle heavy rain well and the amounts we've been getting in these storms is significant..

Seen on the news that it was pretty bad up there, need to head up to camp and mow the lawn and put
    cameras out.
