I'd hate to do any flaming on this forum with such a nice community of fine fishermen, but please tell me you didn't keep that 6.8 away from her nest, let alone remove supreme genetics from the water she was in......

    Re: Illinois Lunkers (sgt93)

Here is a Chain O Lakes pig caught on a teaxs rigged brush hog last summer. The fish weighed 6 lbs 11oz and is the biggest bass I have ever caught out there. Unfortunately we were not fishing a tourney I searched for that fish for the rest of the year...no luck, but maybe this year

WOW, super fish. What time of year did you catch that bass? Looks great.

I started fishing the chain for the first times last year. Big place, all looks the same to me. I need help.

    Re: Illinois Lunkers (Cheech)

I think it was end of May, beginning of June on Lake Catherine. What we did was focus on 1 or 2 lakes and fish the hell out of them. It took us 2 years to figure out a pattern. There is a lot of water out there and heavy fishing pressure. Try some BIG worms and texas rigged brush hogs this summer.

These muskies are from the Chain of Lakes this spring. Not really lunkers, but good fish.

Nice fish. Is that a really long boga grip?

Is that a "no fishing" sign right there??

    Re: Illinois Lunkers (Cheech)

Yeah someone used a regular boga grip and put an extra long handle on it with a rope to use the grip to reduce the chances of getting bit and being able to get in the water to grab the muskie.

Lol not its a danger slippery when wet sign.
