Sacred Heart of Mary, pray for us now, and at the hour of our death. AMEN
O blood and water which gush forth from the heart of Jesus, have mercy on us
For the sake of his sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and the whole world

Wow very smart dog. I need a smart dog. Was thinking of getting a beagle but they are said to be single minded. Anyone know what they mean by single minded?

We worked a lot of cattle dogs and most people that need or use dogs like this on larger animals--sheep-cows--normally feed them very well.....Did you notice the cover around his mouth. Most of the time they do this because of a thing called gripping..This dog is to talented to do that.He probably had a gripping problem when he was young and just feels confident with it on. Notice you can hear him bark but it will not allow him to grip--bite the sheep. I still believe this--On the 7th day God did not rest--He made our best friends--Our dogs................

Now that's a dog. I got two Australian Shepherds laying here cause it's too hot outside. Neither one has ever seen a sheep.

Some might call it stubborn but once they get it in their head that they want to do something, it can be very hard to redirect them. Like if you were out bunny hunting and they get on a wrong track. You can pull them off it but a stubborn beagle will give you the slip and circle back to the track. One time mine got on a housecat. He worked slow so I was able to catch him but he backtracked to where I had caught him and resumed the chase. It's a little embarrassing to retrieve your beagle from someone's back deck as it bays at their cat. Kinda doesn't seem like the time to lecture them about cats roaming in the woods eating songbirds.
