Not sure about the whole river, but I fish occasionally around where Hwy 70 crosses. It's not a bad place.. never caught any really big fish, but plenty in the 2-4lb range. Lots of tilapia also if you like them. Give it a try!

I fish there about once a month. I have caught Snook, small Largemouth Bass and Big Tilapia. There are also Tarpoon but they are hard to catch. If you like Gar they are abundant. I always put in at Snook Haven. Its a nice well kept boat launch. I haven't fished with live bait only lures. But plastic swimbaits seem to be the trick.
