Total Garmin Ranger on the Way - Now Need to Learn How to Use It All

Just like the iPhone slowly led me to a Mac lifestyle, so too has Garmin's LiveScope caused me to go ALL Garmin on my new rig. I know that each brand has its own advantages and disadvantages; however, I have always preferred to just have one brand of electronics on the boat for ease of networking and data sharing. Plus, I have a touch of OCD (most bass anglers do) and having multiple brands of electronics just screws with my head.

Now I have to learn how to use everything.

I live in College Station, Texas and am hopeful that some of you may know about a good on-the-water instructor that is very familiar with the Garmin graphs. I have watched a ton of videos and I know that time on the water playing with them is the best teacher; but I have limited time to fish and don't want to spend days tinkering with the graphs. I would prefer to just hire an instructor and shorten the learning curve by leveraging their expertise.

If anyone knows of a good instructor really anywhere in Texas, please let me know.

    Thanks.

You are going to love those units. Guess you're buying your G3 Ultra map on a separate card.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

That’s right. G3 Ultras for mapping.

Only problem is, once you get on the water and start learning/playing with Livescope, you will wonder why you bought all the other units, except for the your charts/mapping unit to get you to the brush piles you found last time you were out....LOL

Congrats. I imagine a lot of us will be forced to make a decision on new TM and electronics, or one or the other. Now that there is competition, seems like a lot is coming out about the other options. Doesn't look like competition has done anything to bring prices down. I guess if we'll buy it, they'll sell it.

Jason at Bass Boat Electronics in Knoxville is awesome, but that is a long haul from where you are I'm sure.

If you can get a trip with Tom Redington--guide at Lake Fork, he is a FLW Garmin pro.
