    Douglas/Cherokee

Coming in town the 31st for a few days. We are staying on Cherokee. Which lake would you spend more time on this time of year? Is it worth chasing main lake fish this time of year, or better off up the creeks?

You can find them deep on points on either lake right now, but it has turned tough the last couple of months for me during the day. I have heard the night bite on Cherokee is on fire though.

Great trip to Cherokee. We hit the grand slam and caught LM, SM and Spots. Even caught some SM on topwater in the main lake. Can't wait to get back when the weather cools down.

They are deep right now, we have been having luck on both lakes fishing the rock walls and bluffs. Caught a few off of points 20 feet deep as well through the day. Best fish have came on drop shots with a robo worm, green and brown.
Respect no wake zones, Evinrude guys need a place to race too ;)

Brad never returned my message so I guess he was booked but we were able to get a full day trip with Cory Ownby at East Tennessee Adventures. His knowledge, tackle and electronics are top notch and enthusiasm for fishing is off the charts. My wife and I are rookies at bass fishing but he put us on many largemouth and 6 were in the three to four pound range right after the first real cold front. Thanks for the help 05ranger.
