They have so many different sizes. Any recommendations on which size to purchase? Thanks!

I got the Harbor Fright one and have used it twice for my stuff and 3 times for other people. So far it has started everything. I got mine for $60 with a coupon.

Why not just carry a set of jumper cables and hook to the truck or a TM battery? Or are you just determined to spend $?

Install a jumper switch, and jump off your TM batteries. Haven’t needed mine since I installed it, but have tested it.
    Worked perfectly.
Plus it doubles as a cutoff switch when charging.

Wish I had bought one years ago, very handy not only for boats but other equipment as well. I was surprised that mine actually started my diesel farm tractor a couple of times when the battery failed. Impressive to say the least. Go for it!

That’s a great idea. Gets the jumper cables out of the boat.

End of the day and TM batteries are weak from a day of fishing you are stuck and no way to get to weigh in
A mistake on your part does not constitute a emergency on my part.

My GB70 has not failed to start anything I have hooked it to including a well drilling rig. Impressive to say the least. They weigh less that a set of cables and can be used as a power supply, charging station and light. CJ

I bought a GB40 for the boat and haven't had to use it for the boat yet, but a couple of weeks ago my dad called and said neither of his cars would start. I went over there with a battery charger, volt meter and the GB40. One of his batteries read 0.0 volts, the other read 1.8. The GB40 started both vehicles (a subaru forrester and an F-150). Made a believer out of me.

I have thought about getting one of these as I could use it in multiple applications, that would be a plus. As far as the boat application it is hard for me to accept winding up in this situation. I mean it seems like with the "proper" battery ( you would be surprised to know how many do not have this ) , and proper battery installation and maintenance the need for the jump box would not exist. I can see how they would be helpful for those times when you could help another boater who is not so fortunate. My point is that other than helping another boater , theoretically you wouldn't need one. would you at some point carry a backup for the jump box in case the jump box failed ? Where does it end ?

I have an Anker model, which I believe Noco bought out, and it has worked when multiple sets of jumper cables haven’t. People have snickered and out right laughed when I pulled this thing out but when it jumps the truck they all want to know what it is.

Stays under the seat seat in my truck and goes in the boat with me. Has never failed to start any engine I’ve hooked it up to.
