Looking at a new Vexus. Has Ultrex 2 helx9s I will be adding 2 8' by talons. What's needed for one boat networke? Also how can I save my lowrance waypoints and move to hummingbrids?

The trolling motor needs to be the iPilot LINK version to have connectivity to the Humminbirds. If that is included, you would need the AS ETH 5PXG Ethernet Switch and two Ethernet cables to share data.

Not a link motor. Can that be a up grade to motor?

Have the dealer to replace the non-Link motor that's on it with a Link motor as part of the deal. IMHO, its stupid to put a non-Link Ultrex on a boat full of HB sonars.

Also do yourself a favor and have the cranking battery upgraded to a Group 31 AGM if it's not that way already. It'll likely need to be done within a year if you don't.

what about waypoints ?? SDcard

Export the waypoints as GPX and load them to the computer software HumminbirdPC--free on the Humminbird website.
Then you can copy them on a memory card to load to the Humminbirds.
Helix units need the data in a MATRIX folder that HBPC creates.

Helix units don't write waypoints to the other unit's memory, they will display waypoints on other units. Sooo if you want the data in both unit's memory, you have to load it to both via memory card.
