I’ve got a 180 twice and a 179 once. Checked 2 of the 3 caps on top of the motor and they are in place so unless the lowest cap is off, they are not blocking the TPS. Any thing else to check?

The lowest cap is the one that pops off, checking the other 2 without the last one is a waste of time
It would not be the first time someone grabbed a new cap to replace one that was missing, and the original cap was lodged in the air intake where it eventually jammed the throttle plate.

To troubleshoot that i would pull the front cover off so i can look into the throttle body and actuate looking and listening to issues. Also check the wiring harness especially near the plugs for damaged wires.
If you pull the 4 bolts out of the rigging center you can get the front cover off easier without unhooking anything.
