Water in Rod lockers after rain 2019 Z19

Does anyone else have issues with water getting into the rod lockers if the boat is sitting or being pulled during heavy rain? 2019 Z19. Almost standing water in both and each were locked. This is the only complaint I have so far. :) Hopefully it is a simple fix.

Can you tighten your latches so that they compress the foam?

Every compartment on my Z21 would get wet after a rain. The carpet was under the rubber seal on the latches. I removed the latches, trimmed the carpet away so the rubber seal on the latch was in contact with the aluminum lid, and that fixed the leaks. The carpet under the rubber seal was what was letting the water in.

Thank you, I will check to see if I can tighten the latches up and trim if needed as well.

My rod lockers will get wet in a heavy rain...I have tried tightening the latches without resolve. The driver's side is the worse of the two....really don't have any other issues.

I took the latches out and put some silicone around the edges and tightened them up. Hopefully that helps!

Could be the seal where the deck attaches to the side. Spray some water on the deck and you will hopefully find where it is leaking.

I had the exact same problem the first couple times I had my boat out in the rain after I picked it up. I tightened the latches and the problem seemed to go away.

Have not had a problem with mine. I feel like the new locks on the z21 helped.
