    Rod protectors and rod "socks"

I'll finally be able to store most of my rods in my boat as my "new to me" Z7 will fit in my garage. So, what are some of the favorite rod protectors in use that fit well into the rod tubes in my boat? And, should I use tapered ones or does it matter?

I use the Rod Sox Casting Pro rod sleeves and they have worked very well for me. They do have a tapered tip. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but I feel like it gives the tip of the rod just a little more protection. They are easy to put on and take off. I have a Daiwa Steez rod that came with its own rod sleeve and although it works fine, it does tend to catch on the guide closest to the reel seat when taking it off. I've never had that problem with the Rod Sox. Just my 2 cents.
