Multi Species Day Lake New Melones

Made my way off the river and into the foothills for just a really fun day of fishing. Was able to complete my second Grand Slam (all 3 species of bass) of the year as well as catching a bonus species while out.

Melones is sitting at 92% capacity and Pedro at 99%. Should be a good amount to carry over this year.

Absolutely as long as they don't start dumping it should be amazing fishing all year!

I hate seeing the followers on big swimbaits. I can never get those big ones to hit.

    Looked like fun.

Story of my life when it comes to big baits. But that goes to show that it takes knowledge and skill to catch em.
Just have to keep throwing it till I figure it out.

Awesome video, Caleb. I'm really excited that the BBT TOC will be held at New Melones and Don Pedro this year. Definitely something different and a nice change of pace (especially for us guys that fish the Central and Mother Load regions). I for sure thought we'd be going to Clear Lake this year, but no complaints here.

Keep up the good work! See you at the TOC!

Hey Caleb, is there still a lot of debris in the lake? Last time i was there ( 3 weeks) it was pretty bad. Heading up next week for 2 days and like to be on the water about 5 am but if its anything like it was ill hold off till better light. Thanks for another great video.

I only saw one floating debri out there, but I didn't head up the river where I assume more would be.
