Iv been noticing while fishing tournament when I have my recirc on it’s stops recirculating after a while I’m noticing the screen where the intake is , is getting clogged I know it’s there for a reason but I’m tempted to take it off cause after a while it gets blocks with dirt and grim from the lake .. any ideas what I can do?

I'm new to Birds and have noticed the livewell intake sucks up way more dirt/debris than my old boat. Now if I'm fishing in shallow water, I use recirc only and don't pump in fresh water unless I'm in 5 FOW or deeper... The screen just unscrews and is very easy to remove and rinse with a hose.
