    Transducer wire cut

    My transducer wire got cut off 4 inches from the transducer . If I splice it together ,will it work PROPERLY ? Thought I heard that isn't good and should buy a new one . Can you answer that for question for me ? thanks

    You could always try splicing first, but splicing transducers is a pain. Depending on what transducer, you could have up to (25) wires to splice and they are probably individually shielded. Not a project I'd undertake.

    I definitely would not want to splice a transducer if the splice is below the water line. You may only have one chance to test if it's water tight. They do have transducer splice kits. Probably have to call em to see if they are raymarine compatible
