160 Anglers competed in this years REGION 8 Open Tournament on the Chickahominy River, Saturday, 17 August. 61 of the 83 boats weighed in a 5 bass limit with several fish in the 4 to 5 lbs range. Big Bass for the tournament, a 8.42 lb largemouth, was weighed in by one of our Youth Anglers, Ryan Lachmiet. The winning team of Josh Wright & Kelly Pratt weighed 19.02 lbs, in 2nd Place was the team of Frankmister & Livesey with 17.89 lbs, following closely was the 3rd Place Team of Robert & daughter Alex Woods with 17.76 lbs, 4th place with 16.61 lbs was the Team of Longford / Drewery, 5th Place Davis / Bruss - 16.24 lbs, 6th Place- Rob Uzzle - 15.47 lbs, 7th Webb / Skinner 15.34 lbs, 8th Place Daves / Estes - 15.29 lbs, 9th Place Neally / Ball - 15.22 lbs, and 10th Place was the team of Pendleton / Edwards with 15.11 lbs. The Top Finishing Youth Angler was Aidan Kerlin. REGION 8 would like to thank everyone who participated in this years Chickahominy River Open Tournament.
