Helix 10 GN1 DI: How to Correct Boat Direction Symbol on Graph

I use the "Heads Up" configuration on my GN1 Helix 10DI. It is connected to my Ulterra iPilot w Link and GPS puck.

Since my last update (1.9?) the boat on the screen is not oriented anymore in the direction in which I am travelling. I think I saw some posts on this but cant find them now. Is this a known issue and can it be resolved?

    Thanks for the insight.

Did you forget to re-select the iPilot as the GPS source after the update?

Did not realize I needed to do that. I will do this next time I’m on the boat. Did I miss something? Were there some instructions released with the update?

    thanks for the info Wayne.

The software instructions state to Restore Defaults before doing the update.
Whether you do that or not, the software does it.
Default is the internal GPS antenna.

Which has the better internal GPS signal? The head unit or the iPilot Link and checking the Enhanced does it make the signal better?

Do not know how many channels the iPilot has, I have not seen any position accuracy difference.
It's not about the GPS, it's about Heading.

The check mark is the selection of the antenna. There are four choices in that screen shot to use with the unit listed first, one of them will have a check mark. You choose which one.
"Enhanced" is one of the designations for the number of satellites being tracked/used to calculate position. When 3D is displayed, there are enough satellites being tracked to show position and elevation. Enhanced is tracking more satellites and the position accuracy will the higher.

Wayne one more point of clarification. My TM and head units are connected and are communicating. I don’t need an additional connection point or adapter for the head unit and gps puck to communicate correct? Assume it uses the existing connections?

If you have iPilot LINK, that is the Ethernet connection to use the iPilot GPS and Heading Sensor with the displays. Have you updated the iPilot so you can use it?

If you add a AS GRP or AS GPS HS, they connect directly to a display's COMM port.

In this example the iPilot cannot be the GPS source because the trolling motor is stowed:
