I run Pennzoil as well, but run the XLF in mine. I've read differing accounts about how (or whether) it's different than Premium Plus, allegedly it has more additives for extra lubrication. Pennzoil advertises it as better for "seasoned" motors, though most who've tried both don't notice much of a difference. My motor is certainly "seasoned," but the main reason I run XLF over Premium Plus is that it's cheaper. $17.XX every day with free Prime shipping on Amazon, despite the fact that they're suggesting it's a Prime Day deal at that price.

Best source of info comparing Quicksilver, Pennzoil Premium Plus, and Pennzoil XLF that I've seen: https://www.screamandfly.com/showthr...p-Premium-Plus

I definitely had more soot in my prop when I used to run Quicksilver. The super high concentration of molybdenum is apparently to blame for that, as mentioned at the above link.

XLF on Amazon for $17.76 ( 'Murica) at this moment: https://www.amazon.com/Pennzoil-5500...-1-spons&psc=1

Pennzoil for me too. Been using it for many years. Cheaper than most and works fine.

I do have a friend who runs Super Tech in his 2 stroke Yammy and has for several years. No issues. Buys at Walmart.

Check out this oil. Opti2. Single mix for all ratios. I use it in everything I own that 2 stroke. One gallon mixes to 100 gallons of fuel. I know it's not 50:1 but my stuff (2 Waverunners and a Johhnyrude) hasn't cared for the last 7 years. I ran it for 3 years in my lawn stuff before making the switch to more expensive equipment. They have a nice metered pump for premixers like me, 2 pumps/gallon of fuel, or they make an injection blend too. It's not super cheap but it's a pure synthetic and when you consider you have to buy 2 gallons of anything else to get same quantity of useable fuel, it's not too much of an upcharge. It also has a fuel stabilizer built in for us premixed too.

    I buy 4 gallons @ a time on Amazon.
