Wow...impressive work. Have you considered flush mounting your ducer in the middle of it now?

Something like this, wires hidden inside jackplate and obviously turned with wires on boat side

Yes, I am thinking about it. Want to see how it performs first. My SI/DI mega is working fine now so only gain might be holding images longer as speed increases. The transducer would ride lower in the water and probably have "clean" water longer. I'm good to around 10 or 12 mph and have the cable split to an in hull sonar transducer for high speed depth reading. I have also considered adding a downward lip (similar to your pic) but again, waiting to see performance. Not expecting a huge gain but I like to customize so this was a good project.

Decided to put small side plates on to cover the gap. Going out tomorrow to test.

Update... tested on the water and got the results I wanted. Better hole shot and no more water over the transom when coming off plane. Use to have to tap the gas to keep water off the rear deck. Only issue was I could see water piling up under the motor on launch with the jack plate so covered up. Decided to put a dump gate in. Lets water out on launch and closes up when coming off plane to prevent water coming up through the jack plate on to the rear deck. Works great.
