Finally back in a Cat and have a trailer question.

Well I finally got back in a Bass Cat and am doing a light resto on it and rebuilding the powerhead. It's a 2000 Classic, not my 14 PII but it's still a great boat that I snagged for under $3500.

What is Bass Cat's recommendation for having the actuator replaced on my trailer? It's the old style A-frame tongue, non swing and has the Atwood 6K actuator that apparently you can't buy hardly any parts for. Can I just have a trailer place weld a new one in as long as it's for drums?

Or is this something that needs to come back to Mountain Home for, not a big deal because I'm always looking for an excuse to fish on Bull Shoals and the White River.

I swear I searched and searched for the 8k. I don't see why I can't use the parts from it that I need instead of changing the whole thing out. Not sure of the differences between the two or which one is actually on the trailer. I just assumed the 6K would be on the trailer. I came across a parts diagram that states parts interchangeability between 6K and 8K models. Thanks for finding that.

BCB I couldn't come up with much on ebay unfortunately.
