    Not talon or power poles

But it is shallow anchor related. I don't have the budget for power poles or talons. Has anyone tried these "Panther King Pin Anchors" ?

I know they are manual. just wondering if anyone has tried these or has fabricated their own.

    Thanks!

That style anchor has been around for a long time and sold under a few different names if my memory serves me right. I would assume it's holding power will only be as good as your muscle since its you are creating the driving force

Hard bottom your probably going to be out of luck. Soft bottom you may get it to stick. How well is hard to tell with too many variables. I can't say it would be very convenient having to manually jam that spike into the ground prior to making a cast. Maybe if your spec, catfish, bluegill fishing or sitting in one location for a long time. But for bass fishing when you have to relocate constantly...

I know the old timers used to do it prior the the Power Pole and Talon so it must work somewhat.
