19' df140 just installed, question is; Is the primer bulb needed?
It's a repower and the old merc 4s had it. They left it connected and looks like crap the way they did it. So just wondering if it can be eliminated.

The main reason is - without the primer bulb, how are you going to prime the system when you replace your water separating fuel filter (RACOR style filter) that is between the tank and the engine?
Rarely touch the primer bulb in mine otherwise.
