    New G2 250/2006 ranger z21 prop question

Just took out for first time. Has a Raker 25 p with the 3 vent holes all the way open. Getting on plane was great, but not getting much bow lift. Only ran about 5200 rpm on first breakin trip. Will adjusting the vent holes help on bow lift? Thanks in advance.

Venting only adjusts holeshot. Nothing to do with bow lift or speed.

You’re not going to get a lot of bow lift at 5200 rpms, because you’re not in the power range for the engine to develop full horsepower. Once you have it maxed out, you’ll have a better idea of what to expect. The Z21 runs a little bow-low anyway. It’s possible you might need to go 24 pitch to get optimum rpms.
