17 years old. Auto mechanic and custom fishing rods on the side. Spare time was ether drag racing or salt water fishing.

Minding my own business in the womb waiting for December to come so I could see what’s out here. Other than that, I don’t know.

I had turned 11 a couple days before. We went to Cape Canaveral a couple days before the launch so we could tour the complex.

10 years old. I think that was around the time we took our one and only family vacation. 7 kids made it tough.

5 and tried to call my friend, (Girl) and that dam woman on the party line would not get off the phone! She was always on! Said something I shouldn't have, and since the hub was a Sr. Officer to my dad, it was not good for him either......
So what I got out of it was an asswhoopin'

Drinking water from a water hose, or maybe koolaid you made with sugar from a little pack if I was lucky. Of course mom saved the Green Stamps she got when she bought groceries. A summer day would consist of riding my Western Flyer bike with a playing card in the spokes to a friends to play ball in their yard. Home by dark, wash dishes with my sister drying after dinner. We normally were outside in the evenings. We didn’t have AC. If we were lucky we’d get to “camp” in the back yard with a blanket hung over the cloths line.

I grew up on 23rd in Chattanooga TN, Siskin Steel was my neighbor. IE “The hood”. Imagine living in a neighborhood like that today and children running around and/or sleeping outside without worrying about their safety. It’s not like race riots were not happening in Chattanooga. I guess not messing with children was an unwritten rule? I honestly don’t remember my mom being worried about a neighbor messing with us. They could however spank us if we sassed them, or they saw us misbehaving.

    How did we get here?

Nine years old and on school break and if I remember we where camping, parents piled five kids plus grandparents in a station wagon pulling a 16 foot trailer.

1969, I was 24 years old and watched the moon landing on a crappy old TV. Pretty amazing feat...and bravery. Proud to be an American!
Don't bother me, I'm screwing for virginity.

I killed a 12-pack just to watch it die.
