    Motor lift in reverse

I have 2012 175 pro xs on a Phoenix bass boat. I park on a lift and sometimes need to power off. I noticed today that when I throotle up the motor is lifting and wanting to come out of the water. Any ideas?

sn 1b886530 - Don, I purchased an extended warranty from you. IS this by chance still under warranty?

Sounds like a problem with the center tilt cylinder... That's all that holds the motor down when in reverse. Seals are pretty easy to install.

The motor had been trimmed over half way up at the time if that's makes a difference.
