Have you tried a different SD card?

Upgraded to Mega imaging from a HDS-12 Carbon
NOS 59- 4.0 upgrade is solution of his problem.....
I my EVO3 I lost shaded maps since 18.1 update. Newest firmware are pretty good to paletts, interface, but quite often there is something new to repair- for example .sl3 files problem:

Issues with .sl3 file format on new Lowrance Software We are encountering infrequent corruptions of the .sl3 file format with the Lowrance software newer than August 2018 (v 18.2). We recommend recording files in the .sl2 format (touch default .sl3 in Record Sonar menu and select .sl2) to avoid these corruptions. .sl2 will also throw random corruptions but we have been able to quickly recover errored .sl2 files.We are working on a fix to this issue but it may take some time.
