    Mid 2000’s Triton hull design

I know a guy with a 2005 TR20X. That design is in my opinion one of the best I’ve ever seen. It also has a 60 gallon gas tank. I’m wanting to posssibly buy one like this but I was wondering what range of years does this model run? Is it just the 2005 model?

I had a 2005 TR20X as you asked about. The gas tank was somewhere short of 60 gallons, low-mid 50s if I remember correctly. It was powered with a 225 E Tec. Low 70's was max speed. It was easily the best boat I have ever owned. I sold it soon after my E Tecs 7 year warranty expired. I wish I had re powered with the same G-1 E Tec as they had a 10 year warranty for a short time as well. I sold it and got a new Skeeter, which was the worst boat I ever had. Traded it for a BassCat Puma and am happy again.
2005 Tritons were the last "Earl" boats. He sold to Mercury shortly thereafter and then the rollercoaster began in the bass boat world.

I had a 2000 TR20 dual console. Length was listed as 19' 6" and was rated for 200 HP. It had a 54 gallon fuel tank. In 2001 the TR20 was 20' and rated for 225 HP. Not sure when the X model came out.

The 20' "HP" hulls came out around 2004 and ran through 2008 for sure, maybe later. Some '07's and from '08 on got a 250HP rating. As stated above, they were some of the best ever. The 2007 20X/HP was the best boat I've owned.

TR 20X 2004 to 2009 with the HP hull on the later models. Don't get a 20X2 different slower hull

I have an internet copy of the 2006 Triton boats brochure. Kind of hard to zoom in due to poor resolution. Mine is listed as a 54 gallon gas tank.

He said he wasn’t sure but thought it may be 60 gallons. Thanks for the correct number!

Looking at the 2004 freshwater catalog.pdf, the X boat came out in 2004. Fuel capacity listed as 54 gallons, same as my old 2000 TR20.

The X2 came out in 2008 but the X was still in the 2008 catalog as well. Link to online catalogs from Triton website. https://www.tritonboats.com/pdf_cate...tent.aspx?id=1

My 2005 TR-21X Bassmaster Edition has a 54 gallon tank also. Two days after my dealer received my boat, the announcement was made about Earl selling Triton to Mercury or Brunswick Corp., so I think this is one of the last Earl Bentz Tritons built.
