    Oil Gauge/temperature gauge?

    I have a 1993 Mercury Black Max 175HP serial number OC126425.
    Can someone please help me with what oil gauge I need? Part number? I did not have one on my dash for my old Johnson motor. Is the oil gauge supposed to read the pressure or temperature of the oil? Do I need a second gauge to read the motor temperature? I have the Clymer shop manual but I can’t figure this out.
    The manual shows (coming from the warning module on the engine) a brown wire “to power head head sensor”. Is this to a engine temperature gauge?
    It also shows a green wire going to “switch box”...what is that?
