    Sampson/Rowell

Anybody been to Sampson/Rowell lately? Last time I was there there wasn't enough water in the creek to float a boat. That was early in the summer and I have not been back there in several months. I'm just wondering if these afternoon thunder boomers and rain has helped the water level any.

A friend told me that he went there about a month or so ago to crappie fish and you would have to drive your truck 100 yards from the bank to get near water. He said canal was dry.....haven't heard anything since

I tried to go to Sampson in May and there was only about 8 inches of water at the ramp...

Don't sound like the situation has got any better since I was there a few months back. The bass should be well rested and fattened up by the time the water gets back up enough to get in there.

I think I ran into you once in Cunningham creek on one of the earlier tournaments in a gray triton. Place was filled with gar. You may be one of 5-10 cats on the river.
