    Starter tearing teeth off flywheel

Had the cover off my 99 Ficht 200 and noticed metal shavings on top of the powerhead. Some of the teeth on the bottom side of the flywheel are chipped. Starter sounds normal and the starter drive looks good. I can't find a cause and would appreciate any help. BTW battery is 1000 cranking amp and is properly charged at all times.

Starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced. Check connection between solenoid and starter. Make sure the mounting bolts to the starter are all tight.

Everything was tight the starter looks original so I'll get it rebuilt. Thanks!
