Dang it was hot at Shell Knob yesterday....7/9.

Picked up Gary and Bob at Gary's house yesterday morning at 4:15. Launched at Campbell Point at 6. Water temp 86*, air temp 75*. It got so hot so fast it was rediculous. By 1pm I was seeing 88 and 89* water....We threw everything we had at 'em again. We found tons of fish deep but could not get 'em to bite. We eeked out a few bites on the ned rig but that was about it. Next trip will be an overnighter.

Pretty tough out there right now. I felt like I got on em my last day last weekend by fishing out front of docks around cables. Actually was able to locate some quality fish. Love that Campbell Pt boat ramp. Strictly a two-man operation.

We saw a little bit of top water activity but were unable to cash in on any of it. They were always just a little bit out of our reach....schoolers. They looked like kentuckys chasing the pods of shad. Nothing close to the bank.
