    AVX 1880 Wiring

    Was thinking about removing my rod tubes to see How it worked out. Took out the rear steps in the storage locker and found these 2 wires. What are these for?

    Interesting.......Not sure the rod tubes can be removed.

    This came up several months ago on this forum, and I believe they are for the console light for the passenger console. When there is no passenger console they are unused.

    Makes sense, and an easy way to put in some lights all the way around.

    Thanks for the replies. That was my gut feeling. Btw...Dont try to remove the rod tubes. Its not worth it. I left mine alone after trying.

    Did you ever remove the rod tubes? Or has anyone else?
