    Jack plate height question

Is prop to pad the same as cavitation plate to bottom?

I ask this because on the skeeter performance bulletin it states Ventilation Plate Height 5 1/8" Above Boat Bottom.

No. The prop shaft and cavitation plate are at different heights.

I have my prop to pad at 3" according to how you measure for it, so that makes the cavitation plate at 5 1/8" above bottom. The cavitation plate setting is where Skeeter tested the vmax sho prop and they were getting 59.1 mph at 6100 rpms with 2 people full tanks tournament ready and I am not getting anywhere close to that bu myself in the boat. Now mind you I have the identical set up and I am getting 54mph and 5700-5800 rpms.

Could they have meant 5 1/8" prop to pad? Because that would make more sense to me

PTP stands for Prop (Shaft) To Pad. Nobody measures PTP from the cavitation plate, or it would be called CTP.

What boat and motor do you have? Right now your setting at 5 1/8 above bottom to vent plate the same as Yamaha.

Yes I have the same exact setup boat and engine Skeeter zx 190, Yamaha vmax sho 150. But Last night I changed it I am now 1.75" PTP, I raised my Jackplate

1.75" sounds a little high so watch your water pressure
