    1999 Optimax question.

Sorry, not sure where to post so I put it in regular Mercury motors forum too.

I have a 1999 optimax that when I went to crank it today was sending fuel through the vent on the port side of the engine. It looks like it goes into the plastic flywheel cover. Any ideas what would cause this and an estimate of repairing? Thanks ahead or time.
