    Alumacraft pro 185 setup help

    My buddy has a Alumacraft 185 Pro with a 115 SHO with no jackplate. Looking for setup advise? prop? We realize this aint no pad hull/performance beast, but looking for best overall prop/setup. any advise is appreciated.

    Actually, let's start with props. Which Merc props have the hub system to fit the small SHO's?

    Pro chart from yamaha calls for a 12 5/8 X 21 alum. do not know if this helps but is a start.

    sounds about right. You're not going to turn anything bigger with a 115hp. especially if going with a SS prop.
