    Rod saver straps

I discovered that you also can use them to hold your sun covers on your graphs when towing your boat I use the longer ones

Just go to a tire store and ask for a blown car inner tube. Cut some 1/2" rubber bands from it and they work fine in holding the covers on.

Velcro adjustable straps from Walmart ( Craft Dept). Works great & inexpensive. Think they were $2.99 for 2 ( 2 in a package).
In the pic, one on the right shows how it looks on place. They are elastic & can be pulled tight. Works great on power poles also.

Yeah thats what a lot of us want but RM is always out of stock on most things and don't make them for the Helix (or Humminbird in general) or the HDS 12 Live which need.

YEP! That's what I use. They even fit over the white hard covers too....which is nice. Gives me that extra little piece of mind.

Yeah but they still don't make them for the Lives, the Glass Screen protectors for the lives are as mentioned always out of stock and reviews show they don't work *maybe that's why they are on backorder until they are corrected* so i just cringe every time someone on the back deck pitches a jig from that side of the boat...

I use the velcro that comes in a roll. It is double sided and all I do is cut off what i need and use the soft side against my locator so it does not scratch housing or cover. Amazon has it for 5.99 for 12ft
