Mercury prop on SHO hub help needed

I pulled my Fury 4 off my SHO, my merc hub looks like this, all my other hubs have the plastic base bushing inside this. Is this the way it should be on the SHO?

All the Merc/SHO hubs I have seen have that bushing inside.

It depends what thrust washer you have. A single piece thrust washer doesn’t use the extra bushing. The 2 piece thrust washer does use the separate bushing.

Makes sense - mine are all 2 piece.

Mercury doesn't ship the hub with the forward cone bushing for non Mercury motors but you can buy the part #856163 Q1 or K1 is the old number.
